Material & Care instructions
Lyocell, also known as Tencel, is a cellulose conversion fiber that is a beautifully draped, breathable and durable material with an almost silky glow. The material also does not wrinkle as easily as cotton. For Lyocell products, we recommend:
- Machine wash at 30 degrees, in a laundry bag
- No tumble drying (may affect color fastness & shrinkage)
- Wash without fabric softener, with products of the same color
- Light texture after washing when damp
- If necessary, ironing dry after washing
- Wash with a wool program and with a detergent intended for wool & silk (gives a soft feel and helps color retention). Our team takes care of their work clothes with these - the colors stay bright and the fabric is wonderfully soft and drapes after washing!
The clothes may shrink in the first wash, depending on the product, by 5-8%. The fabric may feel hard after washing, but softens when dried and ironed. Dark-based lyocell products fade in the first washes, and the shine of the product dims.
