Today, we started the morning by opening the doors of our office and welcoming ten mothers (and seven babies!) to discuss the future of the clothing industry and more sustainable choices, and to consider consumer-oriented opportunities and challenges of the clothing industry in our joint environmental talks.
"What is the carbon footprint of the clothing industry? How could I consume ethically and ecologically? What options and opportunities does the clothing industry have in the future? How does a mother of two small children combine the clothing business and motherhood? The clothing industry is one of the industries with the greatest burden on the environment. Fast fashion and disposable culture, growing and modifying textiles, and unethical working conditions are all the wrong sides of the clothing business. It is clear that in the future the clothing industry must turn its coat towards a more sustainable era.
The event is part of the MiB Lab Children's future project. Our children's future project invests in and encourages positive climate actions. The project focuses on both promoting the environmental awareness of families with children and increasing the professional environmental skills of career mothers. The project is temporary and will be implemented between January 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019."
Thanks for the visit and great thoughts Mothers In Business Ry!
