Gia Earrings, Silver
The playful and stunning Gia Earrings are made by hand from small glass beads. Glass beads are a traditional jewellery material in Nepal, and the beads for the earrings are purchased from local entrepreneurs at the Kathmandu market. The color of the earrings is festive Silver.
The metal parts of the earrings are nickel-free brass, but they may still irritate extremely sensitive skin.

The earrings are made from individual glass beads that are braided together. One pair of Gia earrings can contain up to 2200 glass beads! Up to 5 people are involved in making the different parts of the jewellery and it takes about 2 hours to make one pair of earrings in total.
